Almería’s Sadiq Umar and Enyimba's John Noble have arrived in Nigeria’s camp ahead of Friday’s Fifa World Cup playoff doubleheader against Ghana.
The duo are the last of the players to arrive at the team’s base in Abuja as Austine Eguavoen now has the full complement of his players available for crucial encounter.
Noble was handed a late call-up after the surprise withdrawal of Sparta Rotherdam's Maduka Okoye was excused from the Black Stars’ doubleheader because of illness. The Enyimba goalkeeper joined Francis Uzoho and Daniel Akpeyi in the team’s camp.
However, most football fans feel he decided to pull out to avoid another backlash as greeted his howler against Tunisia in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 fixture.
With a full house, the Super Eagles are scheduled to depart on Thursday morning for Kumasi, where they will face the Black Stars at Baba Yara Stadium on Friday before taking on the three-time African champions four days later.
