Al-Ahly qualified for the semi-finals of the CAF CL after beating Simba 2-0 in the return leg, following their 0-1 win in the first leg. The Egyptian club's coach Marcel Koller spoke after the match on Friday April 5 about the tactics he adopted."I gave Simba possession and we controlled the game.The results in both matches are good and we're happy to qualify."
Amr El-Soulia, the club's midfielder, following on from the coach said of what made the difference, to qualification. "A tough game and we played against a good team, and we had the advantage of winning the first leg, which brought us comfort in the second leg."
He went on to talk about the title holders' objectives for the future. "We're aiming to win the title again, and we're now going to concentrate on the championship, and all the players are ready under the pressure of the games. We hope we will live up to our fans' expectations and win as many trophies as possible."
