Semi-finalists at the 2022 World Cup, Morocco are expected to take part in the AFCON in Côte d'Ivoire (January 13-February 11, 2024). The Atlas Lions will be able to count on Amine Harit. However, Harit does not want to put any pressure on himself. According to him, there are other favorites.
"Senegal won the last African Cup, so they're the favorites. After that, I think we have a very, very good team too. There's also Côte d'Ivoire, who are organizing the competition, so we'll have to take them seriously. There are a lot of countries with quality, but an African Cup of Nations isn't won by quality alone, it's also about self-sacrifice, determination and mental strength. These are the things that will make the difference, and I think they're all worth it," asserts Amine Harit.
