Bayern Munich's German coach, Thomas Tuchel, speaking at a press conference ahead of his team's match against Hoffenheim in the 16th round of the Bundesliga on Friday, January 12, commented on Noussair Mazraoui's departure for the Moroccan national team. The player left the previous day (Wednesday January 10), to play in the AFCON.
As a reminder, the latter is suffering from a calf injury that has not yet fully healed. "I fully respect the coaches' decision to field the best players available. Noussair Mazraoui is currently recovering and has been called up to the Moroccan squad. We hope that he will gradually return to his best level, and ideally, we recommend that he only takes part in the third match of the group phase," he declared.
