Hakim Ziyech sent a corner out to Achraf Hakimi, who scored with a half-volley from the penalty spot.Dominated, the DRC tried as best they could to get back into the game. The Leopards even thought they had equalised when the referee pointed to the penalty spot after Selim Amallah had been fouled in the box (41st). But Cédric Bakambu saw his shot hit the post. The two teams went into the locker room 1-0 up.
Silas equalises for the DRC
The second half got off to a timid start for both sides.Trailing at the break, the Leopards struggled to create any danger in their opponents' box. But in the 76th minute, the Congolese equalized. Silas found his way through the middle and calmly slotted the ball past Bounou. Morocco tried to react, but it was too late. With the score tied, the two teams will meet in the last round of Group F to decide who goes through to the Round of 8.
