DR Congo coach Sébastien Desabre has published a list of 27 Leopards who will go in search of AFCON 2023 qualification against Sudan (September 9). Cédric Bakambu and Jackson Muleka return. Charles Pickel, midfielder for US Cremonese (2nd Italian division), is called up for the first time. Yoane Wissa, who has made a fine start to the season with Brentford, and Chancel Mbemba are also present.
The DRC are 2nd in Group I, level on points with Gabon (7 points). They will need to win to validate their ticket for Côte d'Ivoire. The Leopards play another match against South Africa on September 12.
