At a press conference on Wednesday January 31, CAF General Secretary Veron Mosengo spoke about refereeing at the AFCON. "Until today, we are told that the refereeing is at the top, and of a very high level. As for complaints about VAR, you know that when we win we always think the refereeing is good, and when we don't win, we say the refereeing is bad. That's not a debate I'd like to get into. Everyone has the right to make criticisms, and I don't feel I'm being targeted. Criticizing CAF is all very well, but you have to be a little fair," declared Veron Mosengo during the "Kick and Learn" initiative at Abidjan's Lycée Classique.
