The 12 Elephants for the Afrobasket 2025 qualifiers
The Ivorian basketball federation has published the list of 12 players who will take part in the Afrobasket 2025 qualifiers. Captain Souleymane Diabaté, Vafessa Fofana and Nisré Zouzoua will be on the list. However, inside player Matt Costello will miss the event for good reason. The player, who has just become a father, preferred to stay with his family, reports the Ivorian Basketball Federation.
Alex Poytress, who was absent from the World Cup, is also back. In Group D, the Elephants face Madagascar on Friday, February 23, before taking on the Central African Republic on the 24th and tournament hosts Egypt on the 25th.
