Egypt is off to a perfect start to the Afrobasket 2025 qualifiers. Hosts in Pool C of the qualifiers, the Pharaohs came from behind to beat the Central African Republic 75-61. Despite Allan Dokossi's 23 points, the Fauves were unable to pull off an upset against the Egyptians. They will be looking to bounce back this Saturday 24th against Côte d'Ivoire, the reigning African vice-champions. Egypt, for their part, will take on Madagascar, who were severely beaten by the Elephants (77-69).
