Al Ittihad have made contact with Moroccan international Romain Saiss. Benzema's club have opened negotiations with the 33-year-old Besiktas centre-back to sign him. Saiss, whose contract runs until 2024 with Besiktas in Turkey, would cost between €3m and €4m.
The Saudis are not the only clubs interested in the former Wolverhampton man. There is strong interest from Marseille. But there is also Nottingham Forest in the ranks.
