Angola will have neither anthem nor flag in international competitions. This is the sanction issued by the World Anti-Doping Agency. The Angolan Olympic Committee (AOC) has been sanctioned for failing to meet the deadline for bringing its sports legislation into line with WADA's statutes.
The sanction document sent to the AOC also indicated that it would lose the privileges guaranteed by the organization until it was reinstated, as well as the impossibility for Angolan representatives to be eligible for any position within WADA. Among the other sanctions mentioned in the letter, it is specified that the AOC will not be able to host any event organized or co-organized by the institution.
