Emmanuel Wanyonyi won his 800m semi-final with a time of 1''43''83. He admits that the final won't be easy given the competition. But Wanyonyi promised to fight to the end."The competition is strong, but after reaching the final, I believe anything is possible," he noted. He added that his body was responding well despite the difficult weather conditions in Budapest. And that he was determined to perform, especially after the elimination of his Kenyan compatriot Ng'eno.
The 800 m final takes place this Saturday, August 26 at 18:30 GMT. In addition to Wanyonyi, 1st in the semi-finals, there will be 3 other African representatives: Algeria's Djamel Sedjati, Slimane Moula and Botswana's Tshpiso Masalela.
