Faith Kipyegon has set three world records since June, and two of them (1500m and 5000m) are now officially in the record books. The Kenyan completed the 1500m on June 2 in Florence at 3mn49s11. Five days later, she broke the 5000m world record (14mn06s62) in Paris. Her mile record set in Monaco on July 21 is still awaiting ratification.
Lamecha Girma's 3000m world record has also been ratified. The Ethiopian clocked 7mn53s63 in Paris on June 7.
