Junior Ilunga Makabu is no longer the WBC World Light Heavyweight Champion. The 35-year-old Congolese boxer lost his belt on Sunday, February 26 in Saudi Arabia. He lost in the 12th and last round to the Gambian, Badou Jack.
During the final round, Badou Jack landed powerful hooks on the face of the Congolese. The referee was forced to stop the match. Badou Jack, 39 years old, now has 28 victories in 33 fights. For Junior Ilunga Makabu, it is on the other hand the 3rd defeat. He now has 29 wins in 33 fights, 25 of which were before the deadline.
