Al Ahly won the Egyptian Basketball Cup for the second consecutive year by defeating Zamalek 72-65 in the final. Al Ahly had reached the final after beating Al-Jazeera in the semi-finals. While Zamalek qualified by dominating Ittihad of Alexandria.
This is the 11th trophy in the history of the club. Al Ahly equals in the process the record of Zamalek and Ittihad of Alexandria.
