Bayern Munich's Cameroonian striker Eric Choupo-Moting has extended his contract until June 2024, the German club announced in a statement on Friday, March 3.
The 33-year-old former PSG player took advantage of the departure of Robert Lewandowski last summer to establish himself as a key element in the team Julian Nagelsmann. Choupo-Moting has scored 15 goals and delivered 4 assists in all competitions this season.
"I am very happy to stay longer and continue to enjoy myself with the club. I really feel at home here. My family also feels at home in Munich. That's a very important point for me. I'm obviously happy that I can help the team so much. I get along very well with the guys, we work hard to achieve our goals. The competition is great, but when you want to be among the best, this is part of it. That's the only way to win a lot of titles. And we still have big plans. FC Bayern has everything it takes. There is no reason to change anything," said the Indomitable Lion in the club's statement.
