Lamine Camara won the African Young Player of the Year award at the CAF awards ceremony on Monday December 11. The Senegalese midfielder beat his young compatriot Amara Diouf and Morocco's Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, known as Ez Abde. Lamine Camara won the CHAN and the AFCON U20 with Senegal. He finished as best player in the first round of the CHAN before being crowned MVP of the AFCON U20 a few weeks later. He currently plays for FC Metz.
