USM Alger are on course for the CAF Cup title. The Algerians beat Young Africans 1-2 in Tanzania. Aymen Mahious Mahious gave his side the lead in the 32nd minute. Spurred on by their fans, the Dar es Salam outfit tried to get back into the game. They equalised in the 82nd minute with a goal from Fiston Mayele. But the hosts' joy was short-lived. Islam Merili doubled USM Alger's advantage two minutes later (84th). The Algerians thus win the first leg of the final. The return leg is scheduled for Saturday 3 June.
