CAF: Evaluation reports of AFCON 2025 and 2027 candidates under review

While all eyes will be on Abidjan on September 12 for the 2023 AFCON group draw, African football fans are also waiting to find out the names of the host countries for the 2025 and 2027 editions. CAF will be able to address these two issues as early as this Thursday, when its Executive Committee meets by videoconference.

Several subjects are on the agenda, including the study of the reports made by the independent evaluation commissions. This will give rise to initial discussions between the members of the body, which could already give rise to trends. As a reminder, Algeria, Morocco, Zambia and the duo of Benin and Nigeria are candidates to organize the CAN 2025. Algeria is also bidding for CAN 2027, against Botswana, Egypt, Senegal and a ticket made up of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
