From February 26 to March 3, the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott hosted the UFOA-A qualifying tournament for the CAF school championship. In the boys' competition, Senegal were crowned champions after beating Guinea in the final.After a 1-1 draw, the Lion Cubs prevailed on penalties (7-6).
Gambia won the women's tournament. The Gambians beat Senegal in the final (1-0). The two winners pocket a handsome sum of 92,000 euros. They will represent the UFOA-A zone at the continental tournament.
