CAF: Supercup relocated to Saudi Arabia

The Confederation of African Football and the Saudi Football Association have announced that Saudi Arabia will host the 2023 African Supercup, scheduled for September 15. CAF General Secretary Veron Mosengo-Omba gave the news: "We are delighted to present the CAF Super Cup in a new territory in Saudi Arabia - a country that has made significant strides in world soccer. African soccer currently ranks among the best in the world, and it's only right that at a time when many international stars are heading for Saudi Arabia, African soccer should also be part of this movement. On behalf of CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe, I would like to thank the Saudi soccer family for their cooperation, and we look forward to what will be an exciting CAF Super Cup."

The CAF Supercup final will pit Champions League winners Al Ahly SC against CAF Cup winners Union Sportive de la Médina d'Alger. In the city of Taif, the match will be played at the King Fahd stadium.
