The Confederation of African Football will meet this Thursday, May 18 in Algiers. It is a statement published on social networks and on the official website of CAF that mentions it. The meeting will be held at 9:30 GMT and will be chaired by Patrice Motsepe, the president of the African soccer governing body. "The Executive Committee will discuss a number of issues on the agenda, including the dates and format of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the bids for the 2023 CAF Women's Champions League, and the training/development courses to be implemented in member associations in line with CAF's commitment to develop soccer in Africa," the CAF statement said.
On the agenda there will also be the status of the 45th Ordinary General Assembly and the African Cup of Nations scheduled to take place in Côte d'Ivoire in 2023.
