AS Far got off to a shaky start in defending their African Women's Champions League title. The Moroccans lost to Ghanaian club Ampem Darkoa (1-2) on Monday November 6. It was Badri who opened the scoring for AS Far in the 14th minute.Trailing 1-0 at half-time, the Ghanaians turned things around in the second half. Comfort Yeboah equalised (57th) and four minutes later Benzina scored an own goal (61st).
Ampem Darkoa thus take all three points and first place in Pool B of the CAF Women's Champions League, pending the outcome of the second match between Huracanes (Equatorial Guinea) and AS Mandé (Mali).
