The Emergency Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation held an ordinary session on Saturday April 6. At the end of the session, the committee asked Samuel Eto'o fils, president of FECAFOOT, to make proposals for the next management team of the senior national team.
"Unanimously of the members present, the Emergency Committee recommends to the President of FECAFOOT to submit, in application of Articles 4 of Decree No. 2014/384 of September 26, 2014 and 40 paragraph 11 of the Statutes of FECAFOOT, proposals for the appointment of members of the management structures of the National Football Selections within a period of seventy-two (72) hours," the body said in a statement published on X.
The Comité d'Urgence considers that the Federation was not involved in the process of appointing the Indomitable Lions' coaching staff, and therefore rejects the decision of the Ministry of Sport. The state body has already expressed its views on the subject and has no intention of going back on its decision. Cameroonian soccer is currently experiencing a major crisis.
