Njalla Quan Sport Academy withdraws from Cameroonian football.
It's the end of 23 years of existence in local football in Cameroon. Njalla Quan Sport Academy has decided to withdraw from all competitions organised by the Cameroon Football Federation. The decision follows sanctions imposed by Fecafoot.
The announcement was made on Monday 3 July by its chairman Henry Njalla Quan."This news follows the elimination of the club in the semi-finals of the play-offs in the South-West region". "Njalla Quan Jr complained that his elimination was more political than sporting. Particularly in the first leg against Kumba City Fc. After speaking his mind about Eto'o and his management of the Federation, the 4th vice-president was suspended from the Fecafoot Executive Committee.
In an open letter published on the Academy's social media handles, the message was clear "After 23 years in existence, a giant of football in the South West region is retiring from the game. The NQSA notably trained Robert Ndip Tambe and Collins Faï. Both African champions in 2017 with the Indomitable Lions.
