Guéla Doué made his first appearance for the Côte d'Ivoire national team during their last training camp at the end of March. His younger brother and teammate at Rennes, Désiré (18), who is at the same club as him (Rennes), is also on the FIF's radar, according to president Idriss Diallo.
"We're going to do everything we can to make Désiré Doué want to join us," he said in an interview on the Nouvelle Chaîne Ivoirienne on Monday April 1. Désiré Doué, an attacking midfielder, is a France U-21 international. He is seen in Rennes and in France as one of France's greatest talents.
