DR Congo will return to the CAN 2023 after missing out on the previous edition. While the name of Wan Bissaka is being bandied about to join the Leopards, coach Sébastien Desabre outlines the essential condition for seeing the Manchester United defender in the squad."He's a good player as you know, but we don't chase players. We have a lot of players who have worked very hard to help us qualify for the CAN.If Aaron or other players are at a good level and want to come, there's no problem," said the French coach.
"The team is open to all players (who have links with the Congolese) but on one condition: they must want it with all their heart to come to the national team. When it's the right time for this guy (Wan-Bissaka), he can come. Most of our players play in Europe and they're superstars and these fans had never seen them before, so they came out in numbers to watch them, players like [Cédric] Bakambu. We're very happy about that."
