Egypt has appointed Hossam Hassan as coach of the Egyptian national team. But for the legend, Essam El-Hadary former goalkeeper of the selection, the problem of the Egyptian team is not a problem of person. And while he hopes Hossam Hassan will succeed, he holds out little hope until the structural changes he believes are necessary are made. "Egyptian soccer needs a 180-degree change [...]. Hossam Hassan won't solve the crisis or add to it, as much as I'd like him to, but the problem isn't the coaches [...]. Egyptian soccer needs new foundations and a new building, and Captain Hossam is not responsible for that [...]. If Hossam Hassan succeeds, praise God, and if he fails, don't do him any harm," he declared.
