Everton lost at home to Manchester City (1-3) on Wednesday December 27 without Idrissa Gana Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucouré. Both midfielders are injured. At a press conference on Thursday December 28, the Toffees coach reassured the press that the injuries were not serious. The Malian midfielder should be back on the pitch next.
"He (Abdoulaye Doucouré) is fit and absolutely wants to play, but we may have to make a decision by tomorrow afternoon (December 28). Idrissa (Gueye) has injured his calf. He's unavailable for the weekend. We'll see how it develops. The early signs are better than we thought, but we'll have to wait and see," confided Sean Dyche.
