The trio of Mexico, USA and Canada will host the 2026 World Cup. For the first time, the competition will bring together 48 teams instead of 32. On Sunday February 4, FIFA announced the date of the first match of the tournament."The opening match of the 2026 World Cup will take place in Mexico City at the Estadio Azteca on June 11, 2026! The Final, meanwhile, will take place in New York at MetLife Stadium on July 19, 2026.
