Football - France: Bordeaux's Malcom Bokele victim of racism

Excluded at the end of the game during the victory of Girondins de Bordeaux against Bastia (2-0) on Saturday, April 8, Malcom Bokele was a victim of racist insults. The club condemned these behaviors in a statement.

"Whatever the game situations experienced on the field, nothing can or will ever justify racism in soccer. Having taken note of the events that occurred after the match, FC Girondins de Bordeaux offers its full support to Malcom Bokele in the face of the racist comments and insults made against him. The club is firmly committed to the fight against racism and all forms of discrimination, in particular through its awareness-raising actions as part of its Coeur Girondins commitment program. The club is now considering possible legal action to ensure that the events of today do not go unpunished,"
the statement said.
