Sofian Boufal is set to miss three months of his club Al-Rayyan's matches after suffering an injury. According to a statement from Qatari club Al-Rayyan Sofiane Boufal is suffering from "a hamstring injury"."The club's medical staff will carry out further tests to determine the appropriate treatment in such a case", the Al-Rayyan statement added. Sofiane Boufal will therefore miss the Atlas Lions' next two matches against Liberia on September 9 and Burkina-Faso on September 12. Boufal is also likely to miss the 2023 AFCON in Côte d'Ivoire.
