Several coaches of Nigeria's national teams have been unpaid for several months. And Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has not been spared. Faced with this situation, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has admitted its fault and promised to do something about it.
"The NFF has been faced with enormous financial challenges and efforts are being made to resolve all issues relating to unpaid salaries," Ademola Olajire, director of communications at the NFF, told BBC Sport Africa.
He adds. "It is unfortunately not something we can be proud of and the new board of the Federation is working hard to resolve the issues."
