Football - Rwanda: APR certain to finish champions!

Football - Rwanda: APR certain to finish champions!

APR have opened up a 13-point gap on their runners-up with six matches remaining in the 2023-2024 season. The Army team leads the standings with 58 points and is unbeaten after 24 matches. Rayon (2nd) have 45 points. With 18 points still up for grabs, APR can only lose the title if they lose five of their remaining six games. And if Rayon Sports win all their games, the situation could change. In fact, coach Julien Mette himself declared that his side's hopes of winning the title had vanished after their 0-2 derby defeat on Saturday March 9.

APR are on course for their 22nd league title. But above all, to repeat the feat of going unbeaten and repeat what they did in the 2019-2020 season when they won the title after 23 matches, including 17 wins and six draws.
