Football - Rwanda: Habyarimana Matiku Marcel assures the interim of FERWAFA

The executive committee of the Rwandan Football Federation (FERWAFA), which met in an emergency meeting on Thursday evening, April 20, appointed Habyarimana Matiku Marcel as interim president of this institution. He was previously the vice-president. Jules Karangwa, a legal advisor, has been appointed to the post of secretary general.

They will hold these positions until the next general assembly as stipulated in article 46 of FERWAFA's statutes. This one, scheduled for May of this year will elect the new leaders of Rwandan soccer.

The communiqué that sanctioned this meeting on Thursday, April 20, specifies that the championship and the Peace Cup will continue following the already established calendar.
