CAS imposes severe sanction on Pape Guèye
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has given its final ruling on the Pape Guèye case. Having lifted the ban on OM recruitment imposed by FIFA in the first instance, the verdict for the Senegalese international is a heavy one. The 24-year-old midfielder was fined 2.5 million euros for breaching his contract with Watford in 2020. However, CAS also decided to impose a sporting sanction on the African champion, suspending him from official competition for 4 months.
