The soccer season officially kicked off with the Champions Trophy on Saturday October 21. Teungueth Fc won the trophy, beating Génération Foot 2-1.
Abdoulaye Kah (4th) and Malick Ndoye (27th) scored for the Rufisquois. Christopher Serge Simon (35th) reduced the deficit for Les Académiciens. The score remained unchanged throughout the second half.
The Champions Trophy pits the winner of the league championship (Génération Foot) against the winner of the League Cup (Teungueth FC).
