Young Boys of Berne won their 16th Swiss championship title. On Sunday, they easily beat Lucerne (5-1) thanks to goals from Cameroonian Jean-Pierre Nsame, Fassnacht, Lauper, Rieder and Itten, the Young Boys Berne won the title of Swiss champion, ahead of Lugano (2nd), their opponent of the day Lucerne (3rd) and Servette (4th). FC Basel, who defeated Nice in the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League, are now in fifth place in the championship.
This is the 4th time in the last 5 seasons that Young Boys finished as champions.
