With just one day remaining in Togo's national first division football championship (D1), ASKO de Kara have been crowned champions for the 2022-2023 season. The club led by Abalo Dosseh clinched the title with a 2-1 victory over Dynamique Togolais Football Club (Dyto FC) on Wednesday 31 May 2023, on the 29th day of the championship at Sokodé municipal stadium.
Yere Justin, currently top scorer in D1, scored twice in the 61st and 67th minutes. Ndiaye Moussa had opened the scoring for Dyto FC in the 46th minute.
This is the fourth consecutive title for the Kondonas of Kozah (2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023). ASKO de Kara will represent Togo in the CAF Champions League next season (2023-2024).
