The suspense is over in Tunisia's Ligue 1. This time it's not Esperance Tunis who have won the championship, but Etoile Sportive du Sahel. The Etoiles clinched their 11th league title on Tuesday 27 June. Better still, with just one day to go before the end of the competition.
Etoile Sportive du Sahel clinched the title with a 0-0 draw away to US Ben Guerdane on the 13th and penultimate day of the Ligue 1 play-off. The pearl of the Sahel club last won the championship in 2016.
