Newcastle have signed Yankuba Minteh. The 18-year-old Gambian has signed for the Magpies from Odense Boldklub in Denmark. However, the striker will have to wait before playing for the club that finished third in the Premier League last season, as he has been loaned out to Feyenoord in the Netherlands.
"We are delighted to bring a player with Yankuba's high potential to Newcastle United. He did very well in his first full season in Denmark, and he has a promising career ahead of him. We're looking forward to working with him in this exciting phase of his development, and we're delighted to see how he fares at Feyenoord, a club that also has a strong development record," says Newcastle United sporting director Dan Ashworth. During the 2023-2024 season, Minteh played 17 league games for OB. He scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists.
