A surreal scene unfolded this Sunday, October 8, during Montpellier's match against Clermont. Just as Montpellier were cruising to a 4-2 victory after double strikes from Savanier and Al-Taamari, Senegalese goalkeeper Mory Diaw was hit by a firecracker from the stands in the 91st minute. Stunned, the Senegalese Lions goalkeeper was evacuated on a stretcher. The match was then interrupted by the referee. According to Prime Video, the fan responsible for the incident was arrested by the police.
