Libya, winners of the Futsal AFCON in 2008, will not be adding a2nd title to their trophy cabinet this year. The Libyans lost this Friday's semi-final to Morocco, the two-time defending champions. But Ricardo Iñuguez's men still have one objective to reach. That is qualification for the World Cup.
To do so, they need to beat Egypt this Sunday afternoon and claim3rd place. "This is our final and we have to win it. We know that Egypt have a very compact team, helped by their pivot, who is very strong physically. They have an experienced team, but we must seize our chance to qualify for the FIFA Futsal World Cup," says Ricardo Iñuguez.
In their group match on April 12, Egypt made short work of Libya (4-0).
