Ghana: Asamoah Gyan ordered to share property with ex-wife

Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan must pay compensation to his ex-wife after a court ruled on their divorce. A Ghanaian court ordered the 37-year-old to give Gifty Gyan a house in the UK, a house in Accra, a petrol station and two cars.

Gyan and his ex-wife have been engaged in a legal battle for three years. The former striker accused his ex-wife of infidelity. He even claimed that he was not the biological father of their three children. But a DNA test refuted his claims. On Tuesday, the court ruled that the former Udinese, Rennes and Sunderland striker will also have to pay 1,729 euros a month for the children's upkeep.
