On Tuesday 30 May, Ghana's new coach Chris Hughton published the list of players called up to face Madagascar. The match is part of Day 5 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Twenty-four players have been called up. Alidu Seidu (Clermont) and Kwasi Okyere Wreidt (Holstein Kiel) return to the squad, while Ernest Nuamah, striker for Nordsjaelland (Denmark), makes his first international appearance. Thomas Partey, André Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Daniel Amartey and Jordan Ayew are also in the squad. Tariq Lamptey has been ruled out through injury. The match will take place in Antananarivo on 18 June.
