Al Ahly striker Walter Bwalya is reportedly in the sights of Kaizer Chief. Bwalya spent the last two seasons on loan at Yeni Malatyaspor (Turkey), Al-Sailiya (Qatar) and Saudi club Al-Qadsiah. The 28-year-old Congolese international joined Al Ahly in January 2021 for a fee of €1 million after impressing with Egyptian side El-Gouna, for whom he scored 16 goals in 35 appearances.
However, Bwalya was unable to reproduce the same performances with the Reds, scoring just five goals in 31 games.Back on loan, Bwalya no longer has a future at Al Ahly and the player could continue his career in South Africa. According to South African publication iDiskiTimes, Kaizer Chiefs have their eyes on him as they desperately seek a new striker. Kaizer Chiefs have made a disappointing start to the South African Premiership, picking up just one point from their first two games.
