Samuel Chukwueze has been rewarded for his fine season with Villarreal. The Nigerian international has been voted best African player in La Liga this season. The Yellow Submarine winger stood out for his mad dribbling, 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
"I've worked really hard this season, but I'd like to thank my team-mates for making it possible. Without them, it wouldn't have been possible for me... and for the coach (Quique Setién) too. When the coach believes in you and gives you the confidence to play and enjoy yourself, that's a great motivation," said the Super Eagle.
At 24, he is already on the list of several clubs, including Real Madrid. His release clause is €80 million. His contract expires in June 2024, which could have an impact on the clause and facilitate his transfer.
