Ligue 1 - Senegal: Casa Sports maintains its dream of back to back title win

Casa Sports can still hope to become the first Senegalese team to retain their title since the start of the professional era in 2009. The club from the south of the country beat Guédiawaye FC 1-0, with Babacar Diatta scoring in the 14th minute. This win allows the Green and White (36 points) to remain in the race for the title, 5 points behind the leader Generation Foot. At the same time, Guédiawaye FC (35 points) lost their 3rd place to their opponents in this match interrupted at the 86th minute of play after a power cut.

In the other game on Sunday, Stade de Mbour, 11th with 22 points, were held to a draw by 9th-placed Dakar Sacré-Cœur (27 points). The promoted Stade took a 5-point lead over Linguere, the first relegation zone. DSC, for their part, have ended the season on the back foot, stuck in the bottom half of the table.
