A few months after regaining his middleweight belt in the UFC by inflicting a huge K-O on Alex Pereira, Israel Adesanya is preparing to return to the cage. The Nigerian fighter is set to face Sean Strickland at UFC 293 on September 9.According to the American press, all parties have reached an agreement and all that remains is to make it official.
Israel Adesanya was originally scheduled to meet South Africa's Du Plessis. However, the latter was injured and will therefore be out of action for this date. The Nigerian therefore falls back on the American, who has 27 wins and 5 defeats to his name.
