"I'd like to thank you all for the many messages of support I received yesterday after the match against Real, it touches me and gives me strength during this ordeal," Diakhaby began.
"I'd particularly like to thank my club, and all the medical staff who looked after me very quickly at the hospital with kindness and compassion. Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game and of top-level sport. It's going to be a long battle, but I'm ready for it, and I'll be doing my utmost to get back on the pitch as soon as possible, and even stronger," the player assured us.
